  1. The !InstallR4 program will install Rhapsody4 and various support files
  2. and programs onto your hard drive.
  3.  
  4. When you run the program a window will open amd on the left hand side
  5. are a series of buttons which set the components that will be installed.
  6. We recommend that you install all of these, although see the note about
  7. the Fonts.
  8.  
  9. You will also be asked for your name. This will appear every time you
  10. run Rhapsody4.
  11.  
  12. Note that every copy of Rhapsody4 has an embedded serial number. This
  13. enables us to trace pirated copies of the program.
  14.  
  15. If you don't install everything or subsequently with to re-install them
  16. you run !IntsallR4 at a later date to install individual components.

  18.         26 bit and 26/32 bit neutral versions
  19.         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  20. You have a choice of installing either a 26 bit only or a 26/32 bit
  21. neutral version of Rhapsody4. However, in order to achieve 32 bit
  22. compatibility some compromises had to be made to make it work on
  23. newer hardware and this will result in this version running slightly
  24. slower than earlier (26 bit only) versions. Because the newer (32 bit)
  25. hardware is much faster Rhapsody4 will still be quite a bit faster on
  26. these machines than on earlier hardware, but we would recommend that the
  27. minimum specification for this version is a fast Strong ARM RiscPC.

  29.         Installing the Fonts
  30.         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  31. Rhapsody4 requires some special fonts, PMS.Alpha and PMS.Music. If you
  32. tick 'Fonts' on the install window then these will be installed in your
  33. standard !Fonts directory. If you want them installed elsewhere, such as
  34. in a custom font directory or application, then you will need to do this
  35. manually. The fonts are therefore also provided in the archive !Support.
  36. In here you will also find some of the utilities normally installed with
  37. the main program.
